Spanish language class timetable information

  • The dates listed are start dates for the 8 week Spanish courses. A language course runs at the same day and time of the week as its start date for around 8 weeks of lessons. (8 x 1 1/2 hour classes = 12 hours)
  • There are no language classes on public holidays
  • Dates are subject to change

  • $170, includes free Spanish course materials, native Spanish tutors and there are no membership fees or contracts.

 

Spanish course for beginners (A1) teaches basic Spanish to individuals without prior knowledge of the Spanish Language and this course follows the official methodology of the European Common Framework of Reference for languages (Cefr). This is the quickest way to learn to speak the Spanish language. You will learn basic Spanish phrases, grammar and vocab for greetings and farewells, asking and providing personal information, ordering food and drinks, asking for information, requesting and giving directions and buying tickets, You will learn how to speak Spanish quick and easy, proper pronunciation, useful vocabulary, Spanish grammar, conjugation of the most common regular and irregular Spanish verb tenses and important aspects of Spanish Culture.

The Improvers Spanish course (A2) is intended for those who have completed Spanish for Beginners (A1) basic Spanish language courses. You will learn to understand sentences and frequently used Spanish expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography and employment).

Optional Optional Prerequisite courses:

  • You have to completed the Beginners Spanish A1, Ncea Level 1 or the following University courses (Auckland Uni's SPANISH 104, Victoria Uni's SPAN 101 & Waikato's SPANISH 131) or traveled in Spain or Latin America.

Upon completion of the Spanish Intermediate Language courses (B1) you will be able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters that are regularly encountered at work, school, leisure, discuss your travels, describe people, discuss sports, handle new situations, giving and asking for advice and expressions of your opinions.You will be able to deal with most situations that are likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the Spanish language is spoken and daily and work life.
